Current Events Project Due Friday Oct 30th

Use the newspaper and a few articles form the internet (no more than 8 from the internet) if needed to illustrate each of the basic social studies concepts. Your report should include at least one article for each concept. Mount each article on a sheet of paper and include a short statement that explains the connection between the subject of the article and the concept. Your report should have a cover and be assembled in an organized fashion.

The Discovery of Peace while exploring the need of Laws and Security

Topic: Governance, Law and Security

· Governing system- equality and justice for all, rights and responsibilities, and empowerment of civil society
· Law- Human rights/ equal rights for women and children/Nature’s moral laws and global ethic
· Democratic governance, with tolerance and honor for the difference and self

Task:
Create an authentic piece of Art (poster, diorama, sculpture) that depicts how Peace and Tolerance can be promoted through Laws and Government.

Due Date: All assignments must be turned in by Friday Oct 2nd .
