Use the newspaper and a few articles form the internet (no more than 8 from the internet) if needed to illustrate each of the basic social studies concepts. Your report should include at least one article for each concept. Mount each article on a sheet of paper and include a short statement that explains the connection between the subject of the article and the concept. Your report should have a cover and be assembled in an organized fashion.

- Empathy- understanding the feelings or thoughts of another

- Identity- characteritics that mkae us individuals
- Interdependence- when individuals work together to achieve their goal
- Justice- seeking what is fair
- Political system- the functions or activites of the government
- Power- the ability to act or control
- Scarcity- the lack of the particular item
- Technology- science applied to problems
